The Most Important Questions!

ASTJ Adventures was created to empower women to travel on their own.  We are passionate about creating wonderful and safe experiences for women to blaze their own trails and to see the world!  Our trips are carefully curated and they are based on personal experiences by our owner.

We do not offer tours unless the destination has been vetted personally by our owner.  We understand that solo travel can be scary and nerve-wracking as well as exciting.  As women, travel can be a bit more scary because we have to think more about our safety.  Our #1 priority is safety and ensuring that our participants feel taken care of through our experiences.  All destinations, hotels, and local guides have been personally evaluated prior to all tours by our ownership – a woman who has traveled to the destination alone!

We hope to ensure that all of our participants leave our experiences feeling a level of comfort with traveling! We hope that you come with an open mind, a desire to be a bit adventurous and to step a little bit outside of your comfort zone!

Your deposit and payments will be held in a non-interest bearing escrow account, in the name of All Set to Jet LLC.   Funds will be utilized for deposits for hotels, excursions, tours and other related trip expenses, as necessary.

ASTJ Adventures ownership has operated businesses with large volume escrow accounts for many years and ensures the meticulous care in the handling of trip funds.  ASTJ Adventures is fully insured.

Health & Safety

We are not currently requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccine for 2023 tours.

Our tours are limited to small groups of women.  We generally book rooms in boutique hotels or exclusively book villas with fewer guests.

All accommodation and transportation are held to the highest standard of cleaning and will be sanitized according to CDC guidelines.

Safety and comfort are the #1 priorities for our guests. We assess global safety leading up to any future tour date. If we have to postpone a tour for any reason, you will be given the opportunity to book a future tour.

We will provide you with alternative dates or a credit towards future travel worth the price paid for your tour — excluding airfare and insurance — to put towards a future tour.  The travel credit never expires.

Your travel credit may be used towards any future tour regardless of destination, based on availability. If the price of the destination is higher than what you paid, you will be responsible for the difference. If the price is lower, the remainder will remain a credit on your account.

We do not offer refunds for postponed tours.

All of our tours are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if we feel that there is a significant concern for the well-being and safety of our guests, we will postpone our tour dates. If you personally don’t feel comfortable traveling, but your tour isn’t canceled or postponed, you will need to submit a claim to your travel insurance. However, most insurance policies do not cover cancellations based on the fear of travel.

We require travel insurance for all bookings to protect you in the event that you need to cancel for illness or a family emergency. However, most insurance policies do not cover cancellations based on the fear of travel.

Before you book

All tour payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. We require travel insurance to ensure that you are protected in the event of a medical or family emergency. If you need to cancel for a covered reason, you can file a claim with your travel insurance.

Once you have put a deposit down for a specific tour date, we are unable to change it to a different date unless your tour is postponed or canceled.

Our tours are very carefully curated and, as they are unique, we cannot guarantee future tour dates.  We recommend booking as soon as possible in order to secure your spot.

Our tours are based on a minimum occupancy of 10 females. We keep our group sizes low so that you have more one-on-one personal attention from our organizer, local guides and experts.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to do only portions of our tours.

We confirm our tours in advance, and only offer a specific number of spots on the tours.  We do require an upfront deposit to secure your spot, and it is non-refundable upon payment.

Each of our tours has different costs and therefore offers a unique payment plan. If you are unable to pay the full amount upfront, we offer a payment plan consisting of a deposit and equal payments prior to the tour. This is subject to change depending on the tour cost and date of booking.  Payment plan information will be provided to you prior to booking.

The cost of airfare is not included in the tour price. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from start and end destinations of the tour.

We can accommodate requests for vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free diets as well as food allergies, to the extent possible  Please keep in mind that we are often dining at restaurants. We may address to dietary requirements to our best ability and always communicate and confirm in advance, but we don’t always have control over what food is being supplied or is available.  Please be mindful of your own dietary requirements when ordering at restaurants and to carry snacks (if needed) to avoid disappointment. There may be times that we are traveling in remote areas and such dietary requirements cannot be met.

Yes! All of our tours are based on single occupancy rooms.

No.  Our tours are designed specifically for the comfort of our guests.  The group provides camaraderie during the experience.  We feel that it is essential that, when traveling, all participants have the freedom and personal privacy of having their own room.

Travel Planning

You are required to organize your own travel visas. Embassy websites in your home country will have information about requirements, visa costs and will provide the required forms. If you are uncomfortable with the visa process, you can visit a travel agent who can arrange these for you at a cost. We are happy to provide a confirmation of tour and hotel bookings as well as a trip itinerary if you require them for your visa application.

You will need to present your passport prior to boarding your fight and upon entry into your destination country.  Please be sure that your passport name matches your airline ticket name or you may be denied boarding or entry into the country.  If you require a visa, you will need that to show customs as well.  Your passport’s expiration date must be at least six months after your return from your trip; if it is not, you must renew your passport. Always check the travel requirements when visiting a new country.

Yes, you are required to have both travel and medical insurance to travel on ASTJ Adventures tours.  We will send out the relevant information after booking.

We will advise tour attendees as far in advance as possible if vaccinations are required for a particular country or region.

We recommend packing as light as possible and prepare to dress in layers.  The specific recommendations for a tour will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling. We will send out a packing list to all tour participants prior to any given tour based upon the experience of our organizer.

We suggest limiting your packing to a suitcase and a backpack or personal item. It is important to have a day bag or backpack to carry items on days out exploring. You are responsible for carrying your bags on and off buses and trains, and up and down hotel staircases, so pack accordingly.  Please make sure you are aware of the baggage allowances that apply to your specific airline.

We advise that you pack the following items in your carry-on: all medications in their original, labeled containers; eyeglasses/contacts; important papers (including insurance, medical records or allergy information, travel documents, and emergency contact information); camera gear; and valuables. All of your electronics and camera gear should be brought on the plane as carry-on.  We never recommend checking valuable items.

We will advise all participants how much spending money is needed and/or recommended, as the amount will vary depending on your destination.  Spending money is solely for personal expenditures such as for meals not included in the itinerary, snacks, souvenirs, and expenses for your personal enjoyment.

We recommend having access to money from a variety of sources – cash, a debit card, and a credit card.  Rather than getting cash in advance at higher fees, you may withdraw cash at an ATM in the airport.  When using a credit card, make sure that you use a card with no foreign transaction fees.  Please keep in mind that Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted credit cards throughout the world.  American Express and Discover cards are not widely accepted outside of the US.

Remember to advise your bank about your travel plans and verify with your bank that your ATM card and PIN will work overseas.

Yes! Your tour cost does not include gratuities.  The trip organizer only works with fully vetted local tour guides that provide a high-level of quality service.

What to Expect on Tour

The tour cost includes an airport transfer at the beginning of your tour.  You will need to provide ASTJ Adventures with your flight information when your final payment is made.

Check-in times vary from accommodation to accommodation. We will inform you of the check-in time and accommodate your arrivals to the best of our abilities.

We advise you to pack an appropriate travel adapter and a power bank.  We will provide information on which electrical plugs and voltage you can expect.

While we take all the precautions that we can to make sure your belongings are safe, you are responsible for your own belongings.  We recommend using luggage with a lock.  Never leave your personal bag/camera gear/phone unattended and don’t flash large sums of cash when making purchases.
